Lawrence KS Ranges or Shooting locations
Hello. Looking for some shooting locations in the Lawrence KS area. Just recently moved here from Hawaii and after three years of not shooting my stuff there I kinda want to knock the dust off some of my stuff. Thanks for the help. Pistol/Rifle/Shotgun/Archery.

Unless you are a police officer (FOP), I'm not sure of where you can shoot in Lawrence. Parma Woods is a nice safe range located not too far North of Cabelas.

You have the range in the basement of the Rec Center on Vermont(?), but they have very limited hours and you can only shoot at 25 yards. Otherwise if I wanted to shoot I used to drive up to the Bullet Hole in KC.

I'm thinking the Mill Creek range in Desoto KS would be closer to Larryville than the Bullethole. Not sure what you would have to do to shoot there though. It's a private range.

I used to shoot at the Kill Creek rock quarry also in the 80s. Last year, I rode a motorcycle down the road that used to have all of the catfish heads (and one spoonbill) nailed on the poles. You can't shoot down there anymore. That's progress.
