Sizer die question

I have a post already on here about seating bullets and having a slight bulge at the base of the bullet in the casing.Sometimes more to one side.I just sized a case and noticed a taper on one side of the case. This is a carbide sizer and it is clean inside.I am wondering if the slight bulge is caused by the sizer sizing the case more on one side. Also, should I be sizing the whole case.I use RCBS instructions and put the sizer down until it almost touches the shellholder.

I don't know what brand of dies you are using but I had some Lee dies for my .32 mag that were sizing the brass a full 1/32" smaller than it should. I had all sorts of ugly rounds and bulges. Sometimes the bulge would all be on one side. Get ahold of a micrometer and see if your sized brass is within spec. I had to throw away all the brass I has sized and switched to some RCBS dies and haven't has a problem since.

sized cases

I've had them like that when I loaded because the bullet went in cocked i expanded them again then shot them.salvaged the cases that way.also some tiomes if ther old they might have the base cocked also if you don't put them in the shell holder all the way
