What kind of 223 does your department issue?
If any what kind of 223 amunition does your issue or specify?

Used, military M-16's. Beat up, but they work.

Colt AR15s. Issue ammo specified is a 55 gr sp - right now, Remingtons are in the safe - next order will be Hornady I think.

Patrol rifles are Colt AR15 16 inch carbines and SWAT rifles are Colt M4's with full auto instead of the 3 round burst. The rifles are topped with Aimpoints and have Surefire forearms. Ammo is Winchester 55 grain SP. We will probably be switching over to Federal on the next order.

Bushmaster carbines with the 16 inch barrel.
Hornady TAP 60 grain is the duty load.
