Shotgun Stock Angle
Hi all,
My first firearm was (is) a Mossberg 500. It was apparently a USMC contract overrun... I don't have pictures of my personal one, but this is identical in all by S/N: http://www.impactguns.com/mossberg-5...813504744.aspx I've had it about three years now, bought it as a gift to myself after I graduated Basic. I've fired it plenty of times, etc etc but something I never noticed until just the other day was the angle of the stock. A buddy of mine was shooting his Mossberg 590, and I noticed his adjustable stock is parallel to the ground when shooting (A straight line from barrel to receiver to stock) whereas mine (as you can see in the pictures linked above) has a slight downward angle to it. Is there any sort of practical reason for it, or is it a preference thing? |
