Once Fired .223 and .308 Brass Prices?

I was thinking about starting to reload, and saved up some brass. But I haven't done so, and may sell off the brass if it's worth anything. I have five gallon-size ziploc bags of various .223 and 5.56. Lots of LC, and a variety of other good headstamps.

I also have two of the gallon bags of .308 and boxer 7.62x51. LC, WCC, other good stuff.

All of it is uncleaned, just as it was picked up off the ground.

What's would be a good price for some sacks o' brass of these sorts?

Scrap yellow brass is going for $1.55 to $1.60 per pound. Your brass is worth at least that much.

From looking around a bit, it seems there are several varieties mixed in there that draw significantly higher prices. There are at least 500 pieces of BHA MATCH brass mingled amongst the other .223, a few hundred Lapua .223 and .308, a bit of Norma, etc...

Would I get a significantly better price by sorting that stuff out and selling it in homogenous lots?

Trying to figure out if it is worth the effort, sorting those sacks seems like it may be less than entertaining...

brass prices

Can you attest to the condition other than range brass? The headstamp says who made it and possibly when but not knowing number of times its been reloaded etc has a bit to do with the value.

They have all been fired once, by me. I only pick up my own brass, or I would probably have to wrestle the other brassmonkeys for it.

It is all minty fresh. I don't shoot other people's reloads.

I see quite a bit of 5.56 brass sold for around .05 each, and a lot of 7.62 sold for anywhere from .12 - .15 each. This is for once-fired. I do see it offered for more, but then I see a lot of the ads with BTT postings too.
