is there a secret to posting the smily faces to the right of the message box? everytime I try they come up as

letters or dots ect.
forget the question the post answered my question, why don't they show up in the message board as smilies?

Just like all tags and widgets, the text is shown as raw text when you are composing a message. The tags don't get translated until you submit the message.
