2nd Steel challenge in wheelchair with my revolver.

Went to a match today and I was excited. I shot my S&W 929 and I beat last months score by over 100 seconds. That was my goal today.

Total is still not anywhere need what I could do before the wheelchair. My best time is 96 seconds.
Today was 192.37. I improved on all but Speed Option. Guess I was trying to go too fast.

Next months goal is to break 150 and then I'll work from there. Since I'm almost walking again I think I can easily improve on todays score. My revolver is now all set up. I found a good load with 147 gr jacketed bullet that shoot 1 inch at 25 yards.

I redid the crown myself but had to have my gunsmith do the forcing cone. Made a great improvement on accuracy.

I brought my caregiver and let her shoot my S&W 22a with a red dot. She did fantastic for her first match and wants to continue shooting. I told her she could use my 22a as long as she wants. Now I just need to get her to buy her own ammo.

Congrats-- wheelchairs make things very difficult, especially with speed. How do you wear the pistol? Cross draw holster?

I'm not familiar with the event, so I don't know what is involved.

I have it mounted on my right arm rest. It's a little hard to get to with speed but it works. Moon clips are right behind it. I can forget having a 2 second reload this way but in the Steel Challenge you'd better not be reloading during a string of fire.

25 yards. That was a typo. Thanks for noticing it. It's been corrected.
