Sig239 Compared to 232 for C/C?

I am thinking about trading up my 232 for a 239, actually, it will happen, only issue is if I sould keep the Siggy 232, its a nice tight little gun. No Sig dealer nearby, so how does the 239 compare to the 232 in size for CC? Im 5'7", not a big guy, Iver heard both good and bad about it as a CC.

The P230/P232 models, especially the blued models with aluminum frames are quite a bit lighter and thinner for CCW. But then the P239's are available in better defensive calibers. If your good with .380 for CCW, you won't find a better gun than the P230 or P232 IMO. The fixed barrel also makes this gun very accurate for the size of gun. With the P239 what your giving up in comfort, your gaining a more powerful gun.

The numbers are close, but the 230/232 is a more concealable and packable pistol. Esp the blued steel, alloy framed version, which is a good bit lighter.

Several of the guys I work with got 239's when the came out, to carry as a BUG guns and found them larger than they cared for, and went back to 230 series.

The 239's come in real calibers (.40 no less) but you pay for it in size and weight.

As a primary CC gun, the 239 has the edge due to its bigger cals.

I'd suggest you handle and shoot one a bit. The 239's are a bit stubby in the grip, and lots of folks don't care for the feel.

For the minimal increase in size and weight (when going from a 232 to a 239) you're gaining mountains of SD capability in regards to the cartridge fired in the guns.

I would definately get the 239, but I would also keep the 232...

The 239 is a time-tested and proven gun. Carried by at least one federal agency that I know of, likely carried by more....
