You mentioned wanting a "compact" that was relatively "light weight". The CZ PCR or P-01 immediately come to mind. They are both < 2 lbs and relatively compact. Like other CZs, they are reliable and good fits to the hand. The grips can be modified to be somewhat larger or smaller. You really need to hold one to appreciate how good they feel. They also cause minimal recoil and muzzle flip, probably because of the low bore axis, the weight distribution, and the grip position and angle. Very accurate shooter and pleasant, even with +P loads.
