870 Project

I recently got a great deal on an 870 Express with 18" barrel and decided I needed a project to do with it (somehow got outbid on the last few Wingmasters on gun broker). I put in a Volquartsen extractor, Scattergun Tech +2 tube, found a corncob style fore end and a trigger assembly from a Wingmaster- I know, the plastic is just as strong, I carry a plastic pistol and my A400 has a plastic trigger guard. I just couldn't get past it on an 870-

I only have 100 rounds through it, all assorted buckshot but no issues have surface. I plan on running some cheap AA trap loads through it just to see if there are any extraction problems.

The target pic is 1 round of Federal #4 buckshot at 10 yards. I've got some Hornady Critical Defense and some Federal Flightcontrol 00 Buck coming this week.

2nd one down, as it came from the factory:

Project finished.

1 round #4 Buck, ten yards.
