your rules say I cant post pics w/o a link to it.
I have over 600 pics I have been posting on the net for decades. most come from my hardrive and from my personal stash.
nothing I have is anyone elses that is copywrited.

the question I have is some pics have web tags that were posted decades ago by other users in other forums, so its not really the websites pic. it was someone elses.

can those be used here to convey a thought during a discussion?
I/e: this is what a Winchester aa shotshell looks like. and we paste it in.

If you actually took the picture, then you own the intellectual property rights to it and can use it as you see fit.

If, however, you collected the picture from somewhere, and someone else created it, that means you do NOT own the intellectual property rights to it, and you need to comply with our rules as stated.

If, however, it's a picture that is stated as being in the public domain, and is free to use, then you can use it, as long as you don't take credit for creating it.
