Legal to Import Silencer/Suppressor?
Is it legal to import a suppressor to the USA, given you do all the normal paperwork? Could I just order it through my local Class III dealer? I am interested in the "silencer set" for the Walther P99, shown on the top of the page here:

AFAIK, no you can't. All new NFA items have to American made, or something like that.

No you can not import a silencer into the US for individual purchase.
If it's the walther one, I can say from experience that you don't want that thing anyway...it sucks. |

Thanks for the heads up on the bad silencer. So you think it would be better anyway to just get the threaded barrel and buy a silencer of my choice here in the USA? What good 9mm silencer would you recommend? Is gemtech a good brand?
