Legal to Import Silencer/Suppressor?

Is it legal to import a suppressor to the USA, given you do all the normal paperwork? Could I just order it through my local Class III dealer? I am interested in the "silencer set" for the Walther P99, shown on the top of the page here:

AFAIK, no you can't. All new NFA items have to American made, or something like that.

No you can not import a silencer into the US for individual purchase.
If it's the walther one, I can say from experience that you don't want that thing anyway...it sucks.

Thanks for the heads up on the bad silencer. So you think it would be better anyway to just get the threaded barrel and buy a silencer of my choice here in the USA? What good 9mm silencer would you recommend? Is gemtech a good brand?

In no particular order....all will be much better and quieter than the original Walther.
