.45acp casing
I started gathering casings from the local range and almost all the .45 casings I could find were CCIs that looked like this
Are these any good? They are not the shiny silver that I'm used to seeing so I figured id check here before collecting them in the future Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

CCI does make brass casings, but those are aluminum and cannot be reloaded.

Went from about 50 to 19 reloadable .45 cases. It's a quest

I can't tell for sure from the photo but they do like like CCI Blazer aluminum. Look inside and see if there is one hole or two. If there's two flash holes they're not reloadable. (technically you can reload them but they'll split after 1 loading.) CCI used to stamp NR (not reloadable) on the case head.

if you look on the FS listings here... Xfire68 and birdzman always have brass for sale.

But don't the Blazer brass have an odd size primer? If that's the case they aren't worth messing with.

According to the SWAMMI at SAAMI - -
Casings are stuffed with sausage! Cases are the remnant of fired cartridges.
