Spam can identity
Picked up this can of 7.62x54r from the local academy and am trying to identify the country of origin. I know it's a batch from 1982 I'm thinking it's polish, is this accurate? Thanks!

My guess is Romanian.
I have a bunch of Romanian 8 x 57 tins with very similar markings. JT |

what you have is light ball, steel core, taken from lot 29, made in 1982, in factory 22.
440 rounds using VT powder taken from lot 252 made in 1982 at factory "U" this is just a guess based on color I'd say romanian as they are the only ones I've seen do that dark green paint but that was on x39 cans made for civilian use. I haven't found any definite guide to find country of origin based on can markings.

The info above is correct, and it is 100% Romanian.
