r.o.a. grip

howdy folks; is there a grip that can be purchased to fit the r. o. a . that is longer than the issued one? i bought a pietta 1860 army, that grip feels great, just wondering if there is one for the ruger that feels the same.

you can change the actual gripframe itself to one from a Super Blackhawk .44, but must be from an old model 3 screw gun to work, not from the new models with the transfer bar, check this link for explanation of the different size gripframes
http://www.gunblast.com/Hamm_Ruger-SA-GripFrames.htm

then put a want to buy ad here at the Rugerforum there was 2 frames for sale just yesterday

pretty easy to do and well worth the effort, from then on any grips you buy will have to be for the old model Super Blackhawk with what they call the squareback dragoon frame, good luck, flathead

heres a new model one with the new trigger spring, there is a way to make this work on an old model, but your better off just buying the old model one above

Check out Ebay or one of the gun auction sites for Blackhawk grips(not Super) that fit around the front of the frame and extend about 1/2" below the frame.
