This is the only one I have a very good picture of: my CZ-52
I also have a Romanian Mosin-Nagant M44, a Mannlicher-Carcano M1891 Calvary Carbine, a Schmidt-Rubin K31, and a Luxembourg contract FN-49. Of all of them I'd say that the K-31 is probably my favorite followed closely by the FN-49. Are you looking more at handguns or rifles? |

Collecting Rifles
.
My recommendations are -- 1. Buy what you like and find interesting. 2. Buy the best condition rifles you can find, always with fine bores. 3. Only buy rifles with matching numbered bolts, unless it is a rebuilt rifle of some kind where matching bolts do not exist for that species. 4. If possible avoid rifles that someone has played "furniture refinisher" with. 5. If you are buying for "keeps" don't fret too much about price if it is at all reasonable. The saddest feeling you will have is to have an opportunity to obtain a rifle that you really like and you p!ssed off time futzing about the price only to see it disappear forever into the hands of someone who paid the price. enjoy your new hobby ! dxr . |
