AL Gov. Ivey Announces Arming of Administrators Immediately

A bill to arm teachers failed in the House earlier this year. A few counties and municipalities have gone ahead and proceeded ahead with their plans. The program will be voluntary, require local approval and can only be used in schools that don't have a school resource officer. Quote:

https://governor.alabama.gov/wp-cont...cutiveMemo.pdf Given the onerous strictures of the program only the most rabid anti-gun media is opposed to the plan. No school boards have voted on it yet. If you live in an effected area you may want to go to the board meeting to express support (or if opposed, opposition).
