A reliable holster maker --need suggestions

Gentlemen,

I am looking for a reliable holster maker--one who is actively in business and will be actively in business until I can get a holster from him. I note that there are many websites for holster makers that leads one to believe they are still in operation, but when I check reviews I read about terrible experiences where people place orders and products are not delivered...or delivered after a very long wait and many correspondents (most of which are not replied to). I am trying to avoid that experience.

Regarding the holster, I am wanting to buy a high quality leather OWB holster for a Sig 1911 C3. I want the holster to have a sweat guard. And I would like it to be of horse hide, but I would settle for high quality cow hide. I also want to avoid a terribly long wait, like 5-6 months.

So, does anyone have a suggestion for a holster maker that they personally know about? One they would personally recommend?

Thank you in advance,
Gene Pool

Currently about a 3 month wait, but well worth it. Milt Sparks holster are excellent.

This is a guy I know and have shot with on occasion. He's the real deal and he's not going to quit making holsters. He quit a good job in IT to make a business out of his craft, he and his wife put a lot of effort and heart in to their products.

Last time we shot together... the wife cleaned our clocks. Four of us.

http://www.daltechforce.com has always made great quality holsters from what I've purchased. They're usually a reasonable price and made in the states. Everyone has their favorite brands for that kind of stuff, daltechforce has just always impressed me.

Gentlemen,

Thank you all for your inputs. The suggestion of RG Leather caught my attention in that he (Rick Garcia) has made several things for me in the past. His work is outstanding and he is definitely reliable. However he doesn't have the particular "blue gun" for molding a Sig C3 in his inventory.

I have several Kirkpatrick holsters for other pistols and they have served me well over the years, plus they do have the molding tool for a C3, so I ordered a Texas Strong Side holster from them. Kirkpatrick is also a reliable source of quality work. The current wait time is 6-8 weeks which I can accept.

Thanks again for your help.
