case material ID

I've got some 45 acp cases that look like aluminum. They aren't shiny like nickle plated and they aren't steel. What are they made of and are they OK for reloading?

Chris,

Aluminum cases aren't reloadable. The dull finish tells me it's aluminum, but I could be wrong on that. Shoot one and test it by bending it in your fingers, if it bends easy, then it's more than likely aluminum and not reloadable. What does it say on the bottom of the cases? Markings and all?

Almost certainly Blazer aluminum.
An "NR" in the headstamp means Not Reloadable.
Look inside. How many flashholes? Two? Trash 'em.
