sighting my pistol pls help

if im shoting to the left my sights should be moved right or left?

Hello, scottd913. Move rear sight in direction you want bullet impact to move. Front sight is just opposite..if shooting left..sight must go left.
For elevation..rear is moved up to raise impact. Again, front is opposite..front must be lowered to raise impact. Best of luck!

Or, if you happen to be a relatively new shooter, leave the rear sight centered on the slide and work on your trigger control.

Shooting to the left

It appears all right-handed noobies shoot to the left. Yes, me too.
And we are all advised to work on holding, aiming and trigger pull for a long time before nudging the sights around. If I really concentrate I can do pretty well.

After about 2000 rounds I've changed and adjusted the sights on my most-used pistols. They work better for me now but I fear I may have cemented in bad habits.

For comparison, I have a target revolver that requires a different hold. With care it will shoot splendidly.

All right-handed people don't shoot to the left, just those with bad trigger control.
