Ebay policy on magazines - ??

Does anyone know Ebay's policy on high capacity magazines? I have bid on several magazines lately (last few weeks) for both AR and mini-14 and on everyone I get a notice from Ebay that the auction was ended by Ebay. It lists a selection of possibilities why, but no specifics. I have bought these before on Ebay, so this seems new to me. Any thoughts?

As long as eBay doesn't catch you, you can buy or sell magazines on eBay . I have heard of this happening before. Really, you aren't supposed to be able to sell them on ebay.

yeah. you can't even put the term "AR" in your description. i was selling a small scope last year, and had the phrase, "works well with an AR" in the description. ebay closed it the first day. i relisted it without that verbage, and they left it alone.

Liberal idiots. I wondered why I saw a few adds that had a picture and the description stated. "For those interested, the item speaks for itself!". Now I know why.....trying to get past the filters.

There was a post elsewhere about this. E-Bay has recently started re-enforcing the rules for not selling magazines that hold lots (over 10 IIRC) of "bullet rounds".

I remember seeing M14/M1A mags listed as "Mk. 20 10-round mags", which I took to mean were 20-rounders trying to fly under the radar. They looked like regular 20-rounders.

They stoped me from selling several AR mags 8 months ago. Said they were parts for assault rifles. Glad they did

I have seen mags listed as 10 rounders, but with tape measure out in picture showing them to be 30 rounders

Some of the ones for the Mini 14 mags were probably mine.... the auction prices on them were soaring when they deleted em. I had 2 buy it nows that did complete though. If they had let the auctions run on mine id have been a happy camper for sure.
