increaseing an enfields magazine capacity

I have just bought a .303 carbine that has been sporterised cut down stock and pistol grip butt, now this rifle is just perfect for me tough, parts interchangeable with the Enfield’s that I have “around the place”, my only issue with it is that I am going up to Queensland this year and I am going to need a lot more that a ten round mag otherwise I will be forever reloading, so my question is can a lee-Enfield riles magazine capacity be increased in any way?

Someone more knowledgeable then I may have a better answer, but I don't think it can be done. On the other hand, you can buy extra 10 rnd. mags for it, or get ammo stripper clips. Good luck.

Well, I'm sure it could be done

by cutting and welding 2 or more regular magazines together....But's that's alot of work. Think that strippers or spare mags a much easier option.

I have to concur that this would be a lot more trouble than its worth. I would also urge you to forgo the extra magazine and just buy and learn to use strippers. Because of the design of the Enfield mag you will find with very little practice you can reload much faster with strippers than with a mag change.

I'm just considering whether a Bren mag could be modified to fit the Lee Enfield well and locking mechanism.
