Dillon prices increasing again!!!

Even though I am a dedicated LNL user. I still have a secondary Dillon press and buy from them periodically. I just received their Dec 2010 catalog. They announced that prices are going up in January 1st.. Anybody have any idea of what their price increases will be?? And, didn't they raise prices LAST YEAR??

Yes, like all businesses, their costs rise so they can either reduce their profit or raise their prices.

Hold their costs in check, you say? Don't you think that the Dillon folks deserve a raise every year? Don't you get one?

Yes I get a raise but it won't cover the cost for the increase in price of Gasoline.

I think they do it every year in January.

Good luck,

I hope that they do!

My pay has been cut 47% in the last 3 years. I would venture to bet that 75%-90% of all CALGUN viewers make less now than they did 3-4 years ago.

It's not that costs rise, but the dollar is devalued. Thus the price of inputs rises to reflect the lower value of the currency it is priced in. Cause it's not like it's getting more expensive to physically make them. Their production equipment is long paid for and all that is left is just maintenance and the costs of inputs.

So don't get mad at Dillon, they are just playing the hand they've been dealt.

Good Grief guys!! I never said I was mad at Dillon. I simply asked if anyone had an idea what their increases will be!! Their excellent support is costly.

All businesses have cost increases, health care and liability insurance are probably a huge burden for this company.
And no, I haven't had a raise in the last three years. I'm damned glad to have a job tho! I also hope the folks at Dillon keep their jobs in this difficult economy. The ones I've dealt with are great folks and I'd hate to see them out looking for work, quality employees are hard to find even with millions of folks looking for work.

I think Dillon's employees are safe. I wish I worked there, might get to sample the new goodies once in a while.

My cousin does work there He does lots of crap with computer design, and gets to "test" the products as well (and he isn't in the reloading side of the company......if ya get my drift). He knows Mike Dillon quite well, and travels on company business to setup "systems" worldwide...........he loves his job. He can also get discounts on the reloading equipment, all I need to do is tell him what I want ......and then figure out how to pay for it

OK, folks, this one is wandering all over the place.

I'll remind everyone that we do NOT do political discussions at TFL.

The subject at hand is Dillon raising its prices.

It's not why the dollar buys less, why President Obama is to blame, etc.

Any more wandering and it won't be any wonder when this thread is shut down.

Hornady did as well and they did not wait till the new year to do it!

I was just at Cabela's this past Friday and I noticed 3 different prices on the LNL AP press?

I asked the sales person what was the deal with the 3 different prices?

They said $399.99 was the "Old" normal price. $359.99 was the "Old" sale price and $439.99 was the new "Normal" price as Hornady increased their prices.

Because I found the "Old" sale price I was able to buy mine for $359.99!

If you look closely enough everything is going up other then my paycheck!:barf:

Everyone can blame Demigod for failing to read the thread and subsequently being the reason for it being closed after I issued my warning.
