High velocity 22 in old revolver?

I recently purchased a 1963 Colt Frontier Scout and the only ammo I have right now is some CCI mini-mags. Will these be okay to shoot out of this gun, or should I be looking for more standard velocity ammo? The model has the aluminum alloy frame.

I can't tell you,,,

I can't tell you how many thousands of Mini Mags I've run through my Colt Frontier Scout,,,
It's still one of the most acccurate handguns I own.

Pop won the pistol in a poker game back in 1965(?),,,
It's survived me and two younger brothers.

Enjoy your new shooter my friend.

While I have seen a few cheap Zamac cast frame revolvers and deringers that showed serious deformation of the breech face from use of hi velocity .22 cartridges, I've never heard of this being a problem with any quality aluminum frame .22 revolver.

Older .22 rifles that used softer steel for the barrels often suffered bulged chambers from use of hi velocity cartridges, even hi velocity .22 short cartridges.
Never heard of this being a problem with any revolver cylinders of the same era.
