Legality of shipping magazines to other countries?
I have some 16 round CZ magazines up for sale and I had someone from Romania say they would take them. Is it legal to ship them out of the US? I'm not even sure where to check the laws in Romania. I'm thinking that I might just tell the guy that I would rather not ship out of the US.

Wildcat,
Check the note at the bottom of this listing for the CZ-75 16 round magazine at Midsouth Shooter's Supply: "This item is regulated by the US STATE DEPARTMENT and may require an EXPORT LICENSE for international orders." Link: http://www.midsouthshooterssupply.co...00099MGCZ7516B My inclination would be to only sell to a US address. |

I think that stuff falls under ITAR laws and you are supposed to have an export license to sell out of the country. I'm no expert though. I would not do it.

Thanks for the help. I told the guy I wouldn't ship to him.

I vaguely knew a guy that was getting Hk reliability mags shipped from his brother in Germany. Who knows if it was legal.

I used to sell non-gun collectibles and ship all over the world. Gave it up. Many, maybe most, countries have very strict regulations that make shipping to them very difficult. Canada and Australia are the worst. I believe Australia opens every package mailed there. No privacy and tons of red tape. My advice: fuggitit.

It looks like the OP has his answer.
