Sears and Roebuck 12 gauge
This past Friday was my sixteenth birthday and my uncle gave me his shotgun. He isn't a shooter and bought it 25 years ago. It is a Sears & Roebucks model 200 12 gauge 2 3/4. It has a vent rib barrel with a double bead, and there is a adjustable choke on the end. This shotgun is in near perfect condition. I haven't got to fire it yet, but I am looking forward to it.
Can someone tell me some more about this gun? Like what it is worth, or what years they were made. Any information is great. Thanks, Fivept

Well, I can't tell you much, but I own this exact same shotgun. I do know that it's basically a Winchester 1200 and is a great gun. I bought mine at an auction several years ago and it came with a non-vent rib, single bead, fixed full choke barrel. I picked up a vent rib WinChoke barrel for a 1200 and it works beautifully.
I also believe it was manufactured prior to 1968, as it is my understanding that the Gun Control Act of '68 wiped out the mail order firearms industry. I think these Sears Model 200 guns were a mail order model. If anybody else knows more, I'd be interested in the info as well.
