Mauser M48

Please help me here. I am getting ready to purchase this gun, this series was produced from 52-56. I just need to know if this model can handle the 8mm commercial loads. I read where the older models shouldn't fire the "js" ammo. I just know there is a pressure difference with "j" and "js" ammo and I think this is a later model Mauser that shoild be able to handle it? Hope to hear from the experts. Thanks.

You are good to go... those are pretty much one of the last military "Mausers" built.

The time where the barrels needed to be worry about was pre World War I (standardized 1905, if I remember correctly).
