Help Finding a Kydex Belt Holster for a Rugger 22/45
I've about decided that the cost of practice with my 45s and 9mm isn't sustainable in the volumes that I want to shoot. Reloading is a possibility but not until I do some major reorganizing around here and then put out the $600 or so I need to get going. What I'm thinking about is picking up a 4.5" Ruger 22/45 hunter but if I do I need a good fast holster to simulate draw and fire from the Comp-Tacs that I have for my 1911s and my M&Ps. I've checked with Comp-Tac and they don't have anything. Kydex is my preference. What I don't want is a crappy nylon Uncle Mike's etc. Suggestions? ideas? Is it a dumb idea?

Just wondering if you ever found anything as I'm currently looking for a good holster for my 5.5" 22/45.

No I didn't, and to be honest after checking with all of my favorite holster makers I gave up and back burnered the whole plan to buy the pistol. Uncle Mike's sidekick crapola is about it.

The only 2 holsters that I know of for the Ruger are the Galco DAO and Bianchi's Model 7000 AccuMold and both are intended for 5 1/2" guns but you could carry a shorter one just as well.
I believe the DAO is a better choice, and it does offer a crossdraw capability, but neither one is intended as a "quick draw" holster The DAO shown is not the one for the Ruger but it is a DAO and it doesn't come with the belt.
