Looking for a good "tactical" style belt for around the house carry.

Hello everyone!

I am looking for a tactical type belt to wear around the house only.
After reading about a number of situations I have decided it is time I carry at all times whenever I am home.

Typically after I get home from work I change into sweat pants or something similar, I am looking for a belt I can wear "over" them that will do a good job of supporting a P229 in a holster while mostly staying in place.

I am still open to holster recommendations too though I think I have zeroed in on one.

thanks everyone for your input!

Take a look at the 5.11 belt which is made of nylon webbing with some type of internal stiffener. Since you might be wearing it without the normal support of traditional pants the extra support might be beneficial. It also includes a Velcro strip to handle the loose end of the belt. Another advantage of this belt is that it provides a lot of adjustment since it does not use a traditional belt buckle and holes in the belt for fastening.

Wilderness makes a great belt. Like the frequent flier belt for myself.

I have two Wilderness Original Instructor belts...one is new, the other 4 years old, and they are the only belts I wear. A lot of the 5.11 stuff is Made in China...Wilderness is made in Phoenix, AZ. Have been to their store/manufacturing plant twice...great people to deal with.
