Change to mag primer

I am thinking about develping a new load for my 308 using mag primers instead of standard LR. It's cci 250, vv N550, 185 juggernauts, lapis brass.

Is there anything particular safety consideration that I should think about using mag primers? Does it effect starting load?

I can't see needing to back up a book starting load just for magnum primers - they aren't that much different. As long as you do the proper work up with them, I've never run into any issues.
