Hi i just bought an 18in barrel for a 500 mossberg for 10.00 but the problem it wont fit my gun untill i ditch the 7rd tube and install a 5rd tube but i cant seem to find a 5rd tube anywhere,Does anyone have a spare they would like to sell or know of a place where i can pick one up and give me an idea of what i would expect to pay from a dealer?

Thanks in advance

Have you checked with Choate? No idea what they have lately, but seems a good place to start.

I paid $20 (a few years back, no doubt) for one for the 870

I think what Demonvomit is talking about is the stock magazine tuge that is already connected to the receiver and not an extension of the type Choate and StarTac manufacture/sell.

You might want to try Brownells or Mossberg themselves for the part.

T'were it not for Gun Parts Inc...

...not an old gun would ever get fixed in this country.

We ordered from them pretty much weekly at the shop. No complaints.

Gun Parts Corp is great. A Model 8 Remington continues to exist today in my family due to that company. I just bought a Mossy 500 18" bbl from them a few weeks back. The service was prompt.
