The RCBS Chargemaster 1500 has a 1 year warranty and only for the original purchaser. I doubt the Hornady warranty for their unit is for a longer period of time.

Now, I don't feel silly having purchased the Lee dipper set for $10, PPM for $30, Auto drum $50, and Lyman #55 ages ago.

cw308, I did have that curiosity of warranty and what it would actually cover. Reason why I asked accuracy for those who had their machines for some years. But ed308 already answered my concerned.

Marco Califo, that dispenser sure is way out of my league. lol.

Ed's guess was correct. All of Hornady's user manuals are available online. From the Auto Charge manual:
"Hornady Manufacturing warrants to you that for one year from the date of purchase, your Lock-N-Load® Auto Charge™ will be free from defects in material and workmanship. This warranty does not cover damage caused by normal wear, accidents, abuse, or failure to provide proper care and maintenance…

The warranty is void if the seal on bottom of unit has been tampered with."

The RCBS 1500 is a good scale/powder measurer. I liked mine but got a deal on a FX120i scale that I couldn't pass up. But after you buy all the Area 419 bling plus the Autotrickler and Autothrow, you're spending around $1000. That stuff is like crack. You can't get enough of it!

If you can find a new CM 1500 for around $300 after rebate, that's what I would buy. They sell used for $200+.

How much better accuracy do you get with .01 grain spread compared to .10 grain?

It maybe piece of mind , I first use the RCBS ChargeMaster 1500 to dump my 40.8 load and bump that into a GemPro250 to get a 40.80 or 40.82 on every loaded case , IMR 4064 one stick is .02 , it may not make a difference but aren't we always talking about making everything as exact as possible in powder charge , sizing or seating . As exact as possible .
