Heat Shield For Mossberg 930

Hello:

Does anyone know where you can buy an aftermarket heat shield that will fit the Mossberg 930?

Appreciate any direction...

Yeah, that is the one that got me thinking about one for my 930... Unfortunately, it will not fit due to the tighter tolerances of the forearm and semi-auto action mechanism... Mossberg made a 930 Tactical with a heat shield back in 2010, so there must be a way to do it...

Appreciate your post however...

the tolerance between my pump forearm and barrel on my H&R wouldnt allow it to function. but i paid 60$ for a pistol grip package and the shroud was part of it so i figured if i used the grips the shroud was free... and i... edited it. with a file. looks and works great. the parts where i filed the paint off to remove metal i simply touched up with black engine paint so it could tolerate the heat... i would say simply go this route

Guys - I know it can be done with a pump... There are several different manufacturers that make them that can be installed with simple hand tools on a pump... This question is specific to the 930 semi-auto...

RsqVet - I will be using the gun at a defensive shotgun course in April... We will be shooting over 400 rounds a day in multiple sequence and reloading on the move... I prefer to not burn my hand on a hot barrel when reloading... Yes, it is possible to to without touching the barrel, but why hassle if I can install a heat shield...

Dan:

Do you know that will fit the 930... Again, the 500 and 590 are both pump action whereas the 930 is a semi-auto...
