AR15part.com 6.8 upper

Is anybody here familiar with AR15part.com 6.8 upper kit? good, bad, ok? Anybody have any other suggestions for complete 6.8 kits with 18" or longer barrels?

If its not ok to ask for brand references, I am sorry, just delete this and let me know.

thanks,
Trav

I have used their parts without any issues. Everything I have ordered from them seems to be decent/good quality. I have a 20" S/S 6.8 barrel from them that is very accurate. A friend ordered a 16" 5.56 upper from them a while back and he had no complaints.

I find it odd they don't sell barrels or describe them with too much detail.

Back around mid-summer they revamped the website and the barrels page pretty much disappeared. You can still find them listed individually (if you do a search) but no dedicated page as far as I can tell. FWIW I have had better accuracy from the AR15part barrels than I had with other barrels in the same price range.

There business appears to be churning out uppers, so I kinda doubt they make their own barrels.

I would agree they have them made and logo'd for them by another manufacturer. I don't think they are that big of an operation but I could be mistaken. I have a few of them in different chamberings and they all can shoot as good as me on a good day and better than me on a bad day so I'm happy.

The 16" uppers that are in stock list is as ER Shaw barrels

cut-n-paste
<<<*ER SHAW CUSTOM 16” 6.8 SPC (SPEC II) Stainless Steel Barrel with 1x11 twist. 5/8x24 Muzzle Threads. ER Shaw barrels are extremely accurate, high performance barrels with a long, exceptional reputation for quality.>>>

I've build all mine with ARP barrels but if you're not building from parts...

Must of missed the part where they describe the barrels used--but I did look for them. I'm sure they are fine and what counts is the purchaser is happy with them.

Thanks for all the responses. I am going to buy one. Once I have it and have shot it a little, I'll give my review.
