Good accuracy 40 load with lead bullets?

I am using 180 gn missouri lead bullets with win wst. Im trying to find some good combo with lead bullets to get good accuracy. If anyone can tell me a good load and what weight bullet and powder and so on.

I got a Sigma 40VE, simply because I didnt have a 40 cal. Being its just a plinking gun I went to cast bullets (actually cast bullets is pretty much all I shoot in pistols).

Like I said I just wanted something for plinking, so I ordered a lee 175 grn mold and powered it with 5.4 grns of Unique. I used Magteck SPM primers. I choose that primer because I have about 3000 and they wont work in my revolvers.

Anyway that load shooters pretty dern good, good accuracy and functions will in my Sigma.

so do you all think i should go lighter than a 180 gn bullet. My setup right now is for idpa and plinking. Its a mouse fart load. lol. 3.8gn win wst. i just dont know how accurate it will be yet with it moving that slow and heavy bullet.

I shot a lot of different weight .40s in my quest for the best. The 180s and 155s were good but the 165s were hands down the best I ever shot.

That's what I was thinking was 165 when I buy next batch. I'm using win wst now but wandering if i should try something diff to go faster or is slower ok for accuracy

I'd try the WST first with the 165s before moving on to another powder.
