Maverick 88 Magazine Extension
Recently I purchased a used Mossberg Maverick model 88. I am in the process of buying all the accessories for the gun to turn it into a tactical model. I just ordered the 18.5" barrel direct from Mossberg and now I am trying to find a magazine extension. Im not really concerned about the capacity factor, let's face it.....If you can't at least blow out the kneecap of a potential threat with 4 or 5 shots, maybe you shouldn't have a gun. But I think the extension makes the gun look quite handsome and would like to have one. I am having a hard time finding an extension that will work with the Maverick 88 (with an 18.5" barrel). Any suggestions/opinions regarding the extension, or just modifying the gun in general are appreciated.

modifying your maverick
You might be interested in the box magazine conversion kit for mossberg/remington(im fairly certain this will be compatible with a mav). Look at FAC, guns-n-stuff. i put an AT folding stock on my mossberg 500(which also fit a maverick) and it reduces the felt recoil, even from 3" slugs. (although you should watch your cheek, as the gun can still jump and pop you one)
sincerely, the backup plan |
