What was your first firearm?
What was your first firearm? Whether you bought it or it was a gift or inheritance. Whether it be shotgun, rifle, pistol, or something else! Mine was a .260 Remington Remington 700. My dad originally bought it and I killed my first deer with it when I was 10. It's a pretty good rifle, needs a scope, though. Anyway, let me knoooow.

An Ithica single shot lever action 20ga shotgun. I don't remember if I got it for my 10th, 11th or 12th birthday but it was one of those, so 1967-69.

My dad's first (or at least one of his first) was an Ithaca .22Lr "single shot". I fail to see how it was single shot, as it was a lever action and had a tubular magazine. Nonetheless great little weapons.

Single shot 410 when I was around 8 yrs old. Don't remember the manufacturer but it was a real looker. Dad traded it for a me 20 gauge semi a couple of years later. Thought it was a good deal back then but wish I still had the 410.

Still have my first! It's a Glenfield Marlin Model 60. Pop bought me and my brother one each for Christmas of '75.

My friends grandpa owned a Marlin Model 60 but it was one of those store brand renames. They seemed like pretty good rifles!

WOW. That's neat. Isn't that the one that shot lead balls and percussion caps? Or am I grossly mistaken?

That's the one. Had to sell to support family years ago. And it wasn't prudent for other reasons.

My first firearm was a marlin model 25N. My dad bought it for me as a Christmas present quite a while ago. To this day it's still my most used firearm by far (mainly due to the fact that its a .22LR).

Firearms Int'l Bronco .22 single shot rifle. My dad went out to buy me a pellet rifle for my birthday, and found this .22 instead. I believe he paid $11.99 for it, which was less than the cost of a pellet gun at the time.

336 lever action that was handed down from my cousin. Still use that rifle for close range deer hunting.

Mine was a Gen 3 G19. Bought used once I had jumped through the hoops of the Estonian gun licence process.
Sold about 2 years later when I had got passed the new gun feel and realised that the grip angle was not for me. Not complaining though as it has opened a door, previously welded shut!! Now have a nice little collection, shooting IPSC and thinking of getting my hunting licence.

The first gun I owned was a 22 simi-auto rifle given to me by my dad as either Christmas or birthday present when I was either 11 or 12, 1966 or 67. I don't remember the brand, maybe Sears or another store brand. Badley damaged in a house fire in 1971 but we cleaned it up as best we could and it still shot just fine. Passed it down to my little brother when I moved out of the house in 1973. He pawned or sold it a few years later for reasons I will not go into here. Have a great day! James

Ruger 357 mag and 6 weeks later a Ruger 44 mag.
I started out on magnum revolvers. I was 14 at the time and man how cool I thought I was owning two large magnum pistols.
