870 mag extension?

I have an 18" barrel 870 express, it holds 4 + 1 shots, how do I get it to be flush with the barrel? Is it a 6 shot extention? Where should I get it from and what brand?

(Btw, search feature is always disabled)

You need a two-shot extension for it to be flush with the ~18" barrel. Sometimes these are sold, as you said, as 6 shot mag extensions, which will turn your stock shotgun into a 6+1 shooter.

Wilson Combat!

These are the best that I've seen. Very sturdy, built-in sling attachment (I'm not big on the clamp mount on other brands). They're a few bucks more than others but worth it in my opinion. I have one on my 870.

Good luck

Now if only they offered a three-shot model for 20" barrels

Eap, what do you mean by "take offs?" Does this have to do with capacity or with the "used" thing, like old Choates and the like...

Thanks

"take offs" refers to old Choates, Remingtons, etc. that were removed when the shotgun was upgraded.

A great example was Wilson selling standard safeties that they took off of rebuilds that they put the big head safety on. I would imagine Wilson probably has a box full of old extensions as well.
