9mm 147gr data needed
I looked and couldn't find any info on this specifically. I'll be loading some 147gr 9mm fmj, at subsonic speed. I'll be shooting it through a suppressor. I don't know if that makes a difference as far as cleaning burning goes. What's a good powder?

My powder of choice for 147 does not tend to reduce well…..
But with a quick glance here, Looks like SR-4756 is going to work for ya. http://data.hodgdon.com/main_menu.asp |

I use 5gr AA#5 under 147gr X-Treme plated @ 1.135 COL.
Soft and accurate.

I use Unique with 147s (cast & plated). Works great.

I like unique and bullseye and tight group. You could try power pistole and blue dot as well.

AA#5 burns clean in that loading, a big attraction for me. Little ports stay cleaner if you keep the lead out, too.

Please do not take this as proven load, but I am of the opinion that HP38 in the 3.5-4 range would work for you. VV N320 is also a good choice for heavy and slow loads in 9mm. If you have a chrono and start low while watching out for stuck bullets I think you can find a good load with one of these powders
I use 3.3-3.4gr N320 with my cast 147gr flatpoint bullets (1.160") and they run about 900fps. Very nice, easy recoil- like a baby .45 cal. All push. |

If go to Hodgdon's load data site where you'll find all the 147 grain loads they list are subsonic. If you don't mind being on the slow end of the velocity spectrum, Hodgdon Universal will burn cleanly and foul the suppressor least, I expect. It will work with either bullet type you are interested in.
