I should get an eye patch and a parrot
Took my son to retrieve some money that was owed to him. Sat and listened to this guy brag about how this friend had come to him needing money so he gave him $60 for this .410 shotgun. He was sure he could make a couple of hundred off of it. He went on to tell of how he sold a Hipoint to a guy who didn't know anything about guns for $300. Finally when he couldn't get me to be amazed by just telling me about how he screwed over friends he had to bring out the gun and show me. I looked at it and told him I'd give him $200 and save him the trouble of taking it to the gunshow.

Well, she has a few freckles that I'm working on and needs new O rings. I've never played with an 1100, just how many O rings are supposed to be on the piston assembly? It's a 3 inch chamber with a full choke and I would have preferred a 2 1/2" skeet. I figure I can have tubes put in the barrel and fix half of that. I don't know if I can shoot 2 1/2" shells out of it or not, I can at least try. Best thing is I think I can get back in the clay shooting games with this and not mess myself up.
Oh, and yes, a vintage 1978 (if I'm looking right) 1100LW .410

The 1100 uses one O ring. You can download an instruction manual from Remingtons site if you need one. It has all the info you should need to take it apart and reassemble etc.
You got one great deal to say the least. |

Grabbed an O ring last night and took her out early this morning. Only had a box of 2 1/2" shells from my last failed attempt at Contender skeet. Nothing fancy, just jumping a can around. Cycled all 25 of those shorty shells just fine. Recoil is practically nonexsistant and will be even better once I get a recoil pad thrown on it. Only hold back now is that full choke, man is that thing tight. Any suggestions on where I could send it for some choke tubes or failing that at least opening the fixed up to a skeet.

Try Briley. They have their prices for such work listed on their web site. They make very good choke tubes and have an excellent reputation for choke installation work.

Briley is THE choke tube company - they make many of the OEM chokes for many companies as well.

Briley,Orlen or Carlson for chokes,John, and I'd have them do the forcing cone also. That last is not often done on 410s, but it should be, IMO.
