First deer with a flintlock.

Well I finally figured I'd try hunting with a flintlock. I spent more time getting the rifle to run than I did hunting with it. Old T/C renegade that needed to be lapped and sighted in. Once I was able to get it to fire consistently and hit where I was aiming, I took her out. Early muzzleloader season in PA is doe only, I went out for the second time last night and scored. I was impressed with the results, hit the doe in the near shoulder at 40 yards and the miniball exited out the other side of her neck. The deer literally didn't know what hit it. Dropped in it's tracks. Used 75 grains of goex BP and a 320 grain mini in .50 cal. Definitely addicting! Well have to cut her up, now the real job starts.
