9mm Bullet

Just got my first 9mm and was wondering what would be the best bullet to use. I'm thinking on loading up some 124, FMJ and Gold Dots. I've also been looking at the 147's in the same configuration. Just was looking for some opinions. Thanks. Mostly for self defense.
