155 VS 170 USPSA Bullet?

I just started shooting USPSA. I shoot a Glock 35 in the production division. I chose the 40SW due to the fact I am comfortable with this caliber. I have been shooting a 170 GR bullet using 4.0GR of Winchester WST. I have lowered the powder from 5.0 to 4.0 and have been able to get tighter double taps. I was now thinking about lowering to a lighter bullet. Will this decrease the recoil or add more snap to it. I use http://www.precisionbullets.com they also make 185 so I could go heavier. Any suggestions?

Are you loading these to minor power factor? Just doing a rough guess on the velocity it seems like you are splitting the difference between major and minor.

I'd recommend trying to drop your power factor closer to the 130 range and see if you gun will cycle 170's. After that if it isn't broken why try to fix it?

I shoot Production so there is only the minor power.
