High Standard Victor ejector broke..

After 45 years, it really didn't owe me anything. Has anyone else replaced one, any tips or tricks ?

Start here. http://stevespages.com/ipb-histandard-victor.html
You'll note there is no ejector on the parts list. I believe the extractor ejects too.
On this page is the manual for an M107. That is the Victor. Don't think it's going to help much, but it can't hurt. http://stevespages.com/page7b.htm
Gunparts wants $9.90 for a new extractor. I think I'd change the plunger and its spring too. $5.40 for the former. $3 for the spring.

Extractor

The extractor pulls the fired case from the chamber as it is blown back and holds it against the bolt face as the bolt travels rearward. As it reaches maximum travel, the rim of the case strikes the tip of he ejector, on the frame at the left rear of the magazine well, and is kicked out out the open "port" at about the same time that the bolt has picked up a new cartridge.

darkgael is correct.

Show us a picture of the ejector as removed from the firearm.
