Dan Wesson 38

Hey guys I have a Dan Wesson Model 14 .38...I just took it in on trade, and it seems tight except the trigger doesn't always re-set if it is pulled slowly. I've cleaned it and oiled it well, but it still happens. Any ideas?

Probably needs to have the trigger return spring replaced, or at a minimum disassembled, cleaned, and inspected by a gunsmith.

Hey susjam,

You might want to visit the Dan Wesson Forum as well. There's lots of DW info on there.

Unless the gun is buggared up, fix the return and load some target loads like wadcutters in it after a good bore and chamber cleaning. I think you will be amazed at the nice tight groups you get. DW's can group cloverleafs.
