Hopkins and Allen info request
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone can give me some info a Hopkins & Allen "Dictator" pistol. The serial number is 88XX. It is what appears to be a nickel plated 5 shot revolver. The pistol has about a 3" barrel and is a 5 shot rim fire. By the size of the bore, I am assuming it is a 32 caliber. The grip is a birdshead design. Any info on this pistol would be appreciated. Thanks.

As per an older edition of Standard Catalog of Firearms the Dictator is a .36 caliber percussion or .38 rimfire single action recolver witha 4" barrel and 5-shot cylinder. Blued with walnut grips. The barrel marked "dictator". Approximately 6,000 percussion revolvers were made and 5,000 rimfire.
