.45 Subcompact DA/SA or DAO Recommendations
Looking to purchase a reliable subcompact .45 ACP pistol, double/single or double action only, no manual safety, good trigger, for concealed carry and would appreciate recommendations and why.

Just recently added a Springfield Armory XDs to my collection. Small, compact, carries 5+1 in 45ACP. Shoots well, has been 100% reliable. Light enough that I have carried it all day as a back up in an ankle holster.

I enjoy my Sig P250s; good DAO trigger (if you like wheelguns, you'll transition well to this), and available in multiple sizes and calibers.

I had a Kahr PM45 for a while. Again, 5+1, lightweight poly frame single stack. Neat design.
But I had it bracketed by my PM9 (smaller, true pocket-size) and my P45 (small, light IWB). Bottom line, and this is only one man's opinion: if I did not own the PM9 and the P45 I would have loved the PM45. |
