230gr Lead RN not very accurate compared to SWC. Why?

I've been shooting 200gr Lead SWC's and they're pretty decent in accuracy. My groups are random and all over the target at 12 yards with Lead RN 230 grains.

I'm using 4gr TiteWad.

Not sure what I'm seeing here.

Are you using the same load for both bullets? If you are you might want to do a little work on that. At 25 yards my SWC are only marginally better than my LRN and both are pretty good. I'm using Bullseye and my load for the 230 gr bullet is 4.6 gr vs 4.2 gr for the wad cutters, not a lot if difference but it shows up on paper.

Same here.
The SWCs are much longer and engage more rifling.
Not a huge difference, but definitely noticeable.
Especially at 50 yds or more.
