Cheap "spotting scope" at Wal-Mart
They're clearing out the Tasco tabletop astronomical telescope for $28 and change. It's the one that looks like a pink rubber enema bulb, LOL. It sits in a cradle and you can swing it around. It's really an astronomical scope, but for the cheap price I think you can live with reading your targets in mirror-reverse. ;-) (Or get an image-erecting prism.)

I find it rather frightening that you know what a "rubber enema bulb" even looks like. I don't even know what that is, and furthermore, I don't want to know. In any event, sounds like a pretty good deal - what's the objective lens size and other stats/features?

LOL, well the rubber enema bulb is something I learned about in a Robin Williams flick where he's a doctor at a children's hospital. The name of the movie escapes me, but he cuts the tip off an enema bulb and turns it into a clown nose.
Anyway, here are the specs on the scope: http://www.tasco.com/telescopes/spec...30076150.shtml I was at Wally World two nights ago and it was still available. |
