S&W model 41
Six month ago I bought a nice modern (97?) and cheap model 41.
https://thefiringline.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=610469 Very nice gun, super accurate, super reliable, a joy to shoot. However a friend really wanted it, and the LGS who sold it to me had another, older one. So out with the newish and in with the old. I believe it might be from 1962, 7” 3/8 barrel with muzzle brake and 5” barrel, loaded chamber indicator, 2 mags, Nill grips and original grips, no box, $ 925.- Now waiting for the permit, can’t wait to shoot it. Very Very nice!!!! Mine is SN 207XX and I have been told its an early 1959 model. Mine is identical to yours other than the grips. It is a simply excellent target pistol!

The 5 inch "Sport" barrel is quite uncommon, good catch.

There isn't much you can say about the 41 except that it is in a class of it's own and will spoil yo in trying to find better. If some of you folks have never shot one, your are in for a treat ..... Be Safe !!!

You got one heck of a deal. I would have jumped on that in a heartbeat, and I already have a nice 1968 41.
